Sunstop is well described in the History article you can find at www.glorantha.com -- the one originally printed in Cults of Terror. It's something that happened once, universally, for an indeterminate amount of time, coinciding with the Birth of Nysalor, the Enlightenment of Shang-Hsa MHNBC, and sundry other Big Magical Events. The sun stopped moving, and Weird Stuff happened.
