Shannon Appel gave a couple of dates from his design notes and discussions
with Greg. Thanks a lot!
I'll settle for these, since they agree to the dates and developments I have
been proposing. This still leaves the Silver Empire puzzle to be solved, but
at least clears the earlier centuries (for me).
