Don't tell me, the Gneiss Phalanx is part of the peace corps & has smiley moons on their shields... well they do IMG.

I think slate's a good idea. Make them the crappy phalanx, so anyone who screws up 'gets slated'.

So how come they don't use things like diamond or the godly metals like lead, tin, silver, aluminium et al (can't be bothered to put ur-, ze- etc) - - or perhaps that's the dwarves that do that. I mean personally, I wouldn't really want to be named after rocks, bit dull really - with the exception of granite & marble. IIRC alabaster was being tossed around as name for a while, though I think wisely it went the same way as gabbro.

Of course the 64,000 bolg question is when are these miniature rules going to appear? Come on John, 'fess up. (Still, at least I've learned how to spell dev-a-station, eh John ;-) ).
