Lanbril

I have always assumed that Lanbril was a thief hero that became a god for some reason, and that thieves anywhere can group themselves into a society. Attached to this is the idea that some proficient thieves who start this society will be experienced enough in magic to conduct the ceremonies that link them to Lanbril and give them access to his favours. Such thieves could of course merely be sufficiently wealthy to pay someone else to perform the ceremonies?

As such, a Pavis Lanbril member could not use the facilities at the Boldhome temple for instance unless they moved to Boldhome, proved their credentials and formally enrolled. Although ingenious PCs could possibly by-pass this limitation.

How does this sound?
