I see what you mean Nick. Still, as I=92m sure you know, there are some stories as to who or what this Ginna Jar was. I seem to recall the Good Book (KoS) identifying Ginna Jar as the collective spirit of the Lightbringers. This was just in one story, tough... others seemed to suggest that it was a previously unknown spirit they met on their way to hell, and even that this was the Spider Spirit, later known as Arachne Solara... the ghost of Glorantha herself.

So it actually comes down to semantics. You can indeed claim that there were only six Lightbingers, and that Ginna Jar is just one of the things they met. There seems to be ritual importance on there being seven Lightbingers tough. At least in later Lightbinger HQ:s done by mortals, and even the Lunar ritual for creating The Goddess had seven participants (supposedly they were using the Lightbinger Quest as a mythical template)
