Why? Malkioni don't deny the existence of gods, they call them false and unworthy of worship. That doesn't have to mean that the gods aren't real to a Malkioni. Ehilm isn't the great god of the sun, but a nasty sorcerer/spirit who poses as the sun to his poor confused worshippers, but he is there for real.

Likewise, an enlightened Kralorelan knows that the gods are just parts of the vast illusion which hides the oneness of all existence. They are still there though, as objects of worship for the less spiritually evolved.

What I'm trying to say here is that there probably is some sect somewhere on the lozenge which believes the "gods" don't exist at all, but they are kooks and seen as such by their neighbours as well.
