I think you misunderstood Allen. To me it seems he was saying that he is sorry for singling you out for "belittling everyone else because of different base assumptions that no one is willing to admit to" (and whatever other bad behavior he accused you of) because a lot of other people are also guilty of the same behavior - NOT that other people are singling you out so it is okay for him to do so also.

This is only the third time I have written to this forum and this is the second time it has been prompted by this kind of discussion. Can we please cut this kind of bickering? Let's debate the merits of the arguments and not the merits or intelligence or personality of the participants. Hate the sin and not the sinner?

Also, on mass produced magical/high quality arms and armor. I seem to recall that while Japanese sword makers were able to produce incredibly high quality katanas, which were superior to anything produced in Europe, it took a long time to do so - all that folding of the metal. I think that due to the time involved, and the fact that you would have to be incredibly skilled, there aren't going to be that many floating around.
