Only one piece: I know that Seshnegi knights in the Dawn Age wars against the Basmoli used to skin lions (or lion-men, or take the lion-skins of the lion warriors they slew) and nail these skins to their shields, as trophies. And this charming custom leads to the profusion of heraldic designs involving lions on shields in Third Age Seshnela.

Other sources would be the shield designs listed in the GoG Prosopaedia for the likes of Hrestol & Arkat & Paslac (though remember these may be the Third Age heraldic designs assigned retrospectively to old heroes, just as you can find the arms of Sir Hector of Troy and Julius Caesar, Emperor of Rome in a French mediaeval armorial). And the "Crusades" article from Tales #13 (the "Go West!" special), of course, for crosses.

Maybe it *was* a perfect square/lozenge, before it was cracked and rent asunder in the Gods' War?

The Oceans of the Inner World also have no bottom and connect directly to the Underworld.
