Resurrection.

Hi All,

I really like some of the ideas for the nature of resurrection.

If I remember correctly it was once suggested that Yelm grants the spell of Resurrect Self, which I thought was positively wonderful. I did work it into my campaign, with the hope of making the PC involved partake on a quest to return to life. Unfortunately the character never died violently, instead he retired and died of old age. As always the player tried to cast the spell then, but I soon convinced him of his ways.

I am toying with the idea at the moment that the Fonritan equivelent of Yelm aka Fida Is the Sun Phoenix offers a spell similar to Resurrect Self. A consequence of the spells use is that the user becomes locked into a mythical life pattern which inevitably results in his death only being delayed. The spell will probably involve funeral pyres working in reverse, and hell if I can get it in their might even be a carpet too!

I remember once that I had a system for the civilised CA to 'bill' their clients. The system was based on humility. Those that were healed by the temples priestess were expected to perform a task in return, the greater the wealth on an individual the more menial the task. So for example on of my wealthiest PC's was forced by the Griffin Mountain healer to serve in the shrine tending to the bed pans for a whole year.

Cheers Simon.
