Pete says:

And I wish I knew what that was. It's an idea, though.

Let me take another look at that "first ring". If that's the basis of the LBQ ring (which it may well be), then another adaptation of that would be reasonable.

The members aren't named, in general, but most of their methods are recognisable.

1)
Method: Raid & snatch
Defeated by: beauty
Excuse: to help his sick grandmother
- - ideas?
2)
Method: A servant of the Fire Tribe, tried to taste what he was carrying (treachery?)
Defeated by: overpowered by odour
Excuse: wanted a bit of gravy for his bread - - ??
3)
Method: An army
Defeated by: "the war god"
Excuse: wanted a decent meal
- - later Vadrus is named as trying fighting "again" 4)
Method: Logic
Defeated by: "thinking and talking are useless" Excuse: wanted to know what it tasted like - - and Lhankor Knowing was one of the few named! 5)
Method: Buying
Defeated by: gift deemed a "filthy shadow" Excuse: wanted to have it for a little while - - Issaries Slip-Between is on the list 6)
Method: she tried to seduce him
Defeated by: flock more important than life Excuse: wanted her share
- - is this Uleria?

This is a face of CA that doesn't fit the norm (stealing herds?), and there are two members of the Ring who I can't identify. How do you see this as matching the LBQ Ring? The LM and Issaries are easy, but the rest?

In any case, it still seems to me that any changes Kallyr made to the standard would have been with considerable input from the rest of the team. Minaryth Purple would have done a lot of it, of course, but she also has Orlaront, with his EWF knowledge, and AWB to add some Praxian flavour. What Rings could she get from either of these sources? Ones that aren't (yet) documented, I suspect, but that doesn't make them non-existant.
