Free willed tricksters

I actually asked this question of Greg once in a lore auction. The gist of his reply was that trickster was bound by the compromise to his nature. Thus he _has_ to lie, trick, steal, seduce, murder and behave unpredictably, etc. The only way for him to break the compromise is to change his nature and behave honourably, steadfastly, etc.

Then again he also said "There is no change without trickster."

So trickster is an agent of change because he has to be (and he can't change that ;).

Odd, isn't it.
