The statement that Gods cannot know the future is merely game advice for the Divination Spell. In special circumstances, prophecies about the future can and have been made. One only has to look at the prophecies of the Hero Wars in the Genertela Book to see that the art of prophecy is alive and well in glorantha.
What these special circumstances are varies from place to place. Most cultures do have a tradition of omens being sought for the coming year and some even prophesy about what an ewborn infant will accomplish. But these sort of prophecies will be either general or vague.
