You could argue that horses are a type of bird that has lost it's feathers, claws and beak. IMO horses are a type of carnivorous bird that have lost some of their bits, similarly dinosaurs are dragons that have lost some of their bits, and ducks are a type of creature that always gets the bill. I wonder if the ancient Galannini regard horses/thenselves as descendants of Mother Mammal or of some bird. Perhaps this is a further reason for Praxians to make horses taboo, because they are one more step away from Eiritha's Beasts than a mule, say.. ( Oops, I forgot about Ostrich Riders).
