RQ, Glorantha and the future - a little off topic.

By the way, as anyone taken a look at the publicity flyers AH is sending out to prep dealers for it's "new" version of RQ?

Egad, maybe it's just me, but it looks like it sucks rocks.

I mean, at this point I'm terribly torn - I like Glorantha, but honestly I have a much much easier time getting people to want to play in my RQ Medieval Earth campaign because it's substantially less demanding on the players as far as "energy spent pursuing and envisioning details not directly pertinent to goal accomplishment" if you get my meaning. G is great for us bibliophiles, but (for my players at least) MGF dictates Medieval Earth.

Anyway, now I'll have to decide, I guess. If Glorantha and RQ part ways (sorry, I mean WHEN) I'm not sure which way I'll go. I don't have time to really pursue both.

Either I stay with my personal like of Glorantha, and accept the uphill battle for players/playing time in our group, or I go with what looks to be a horrible new game from AH, hoping the system will be portable enough to allow me to continue what I have devoted a substantial amount of time & energy to...

*sigh* Maybe I'll just stick with RQ3 and my several volumes of house rules. - -Steve (styopa_at_iname.com)
