Materialists in the Spirit World

I do think however that the materialists would have a materialistic explanation for the existance of the spirit plane.

A debatable point. It would be safer IMO to say that they approach the spirit world (and manipulate it thereby) from the materialistic viewpoint in terms of manifestations of Impersonal Laws and as not the dwelling places of spirits. Admittedly this is an Ideal for the Malkioni as people can find plenty of counterexamples in the literature.
