This is where this discussion ends. I thought you were discussing the matter in a fair basis, but now I recognize you're just kiding with me or faming for flame sake:

<< Unless you're playing Hero Wars, in which case this statement is meaningless >> ?

Whom are you kiding with Simmon? What, playing Hero Wars, me? Where can I find the thing, can you tell me? Will you send it to me, nicely packaged, in private mail?
Wake up man, HW does not exist so far. Or are you just trying to tell me that, since I'm not on the HW playtesting bandwagon, I've better shut up, since I'm not of the Inner Cyrcle of Glorantha?

For the vast majority of people, Glorantha is based on material designed for playing with RQ. Until the AH deal, RQ was THE representation of Glorantha and all things Gloranthan. It's only after that that Chaosium discovered that RQ was not a good representation of Glorantha, after all.

I don't care if the game system represents magic with a set of given stats, or doesn't do it. But if it does, there must be a reason for it. It must represent something. The fact that HW droped it can only mean that the new game system has a better (or worse) way to represent magic. What cannot be said is:

"You play RQ (the only game system designed with Glorantha in mind so far) in Glorantha and use POW and MPs? That's not Glorantha!"

Until we have a new game system, RQ represents Glorantha, point. It shapes how we understand G, even if only from the very narrow POV of role playing.

I'm glad to know you play HW. You can even wear a badge saying it.

Sergio
