Hero Wars discussion: can someone summarize the basics.

I lack the familiarity with Hero Wars, that the last dozen posts on HW assumes. I did not see/hear enough about the demos to
comprehend the system that is under discussion.

Could some one point me to a URL or other resource where the basic mechanics might be summarized? I've back issues of Glorantha Digest; if I missed the key issue I apologize but could someone tell me which one it was?
