David Dunham replying to R.H. Wolfe's suggestion about RQ ->HW conversion:

                What a horrible idea, wasting space in the new rules with a conversion

                system for a game large parts of the target audience don't play.

A sizeable minority of people will have characters around. There's no reason why there couldn't be conversion from other system's as well, like GURPS and Pendragon. Anything to rope the players in strikes me as being a good thing. They don't have to be big, just a page or so. Even suggestions could be enough to get people started:

IH Sword Attack becomes something like "Twat Mightily" or "Bashing people with big pointy thing";
Oratory might become "Pithy epithet," "Witty riposte" or "Satire, bathos and litotes";

In Pendragon based games, the passion of Love(Wife) could become
"Biological induced monogamy obsession" for God Learner types or
"Phwoargh, it's the Missus" for a (stereotypical) Storm Kahn.

                Heck, switching from RQ2 to RQ3 was a disappointment -- your

                characters didn't really have the same abilities once the rules changed.

Seeing as nothing really changed between RQ II and III this strikes me as being a pretty strange statement. The only bugger was copying out the character sheet!
