Hokay, I'm game.

All right: "I pity you. But, better still, the Red Goddess pities you, and wishes to improve your lot in life! Now, were you thinking of joining the Seven Mothers' Cult...?"

The power of the Red Goddess waxed for 27 years (culminating with her apotheosis, in 0/27), and then waned for 27 years. The Lunar Empire likes to think that it ends each "Wane" of history at a new high point. Sometimes these are pretty low "highs" (as in the Third Wane); sometimes they're truly impressive (as at the end of the Zero, First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Wanes).

This cycle was identified by Kana Poor, the Scribe of Time, who was a disciple of Irrippi Ontor and who founded the Chronomancers, those Lunar magi who specialise in the study and uses of Time.

Maybe *something* significant happened in Peloria in 1193 ST, but I for one find it hard to believe that Teelo Norri, barely pubescent in 1220, was involved in a ritual some 27 years earlier. Not to mention the other "younger" Mothers (Yanafal and Danfive, IMO).

Correct.

It does.

Which is to say, "That's Lunar!"

("These Lunars are crazy...")
