Under Dragon Pass rules enough Units of men can take the Bat down. perhaps if you line your hundred Humakti up and get them all to cast Sever Spirit (there's always that "01" chance of it working...)

No, really, there's a place in Glorantha called the Chaosium where the world connects with the Chaos outside and this is where they come from, so I believe.
