I believe all Thanes in Heortland are Knights-equivalents or at least able to supply a man on a horse. I don't believe that there is a division between Westernised Nobles and Orlanthi Thanes in Heortland. Rather the distinction lies between those who practice the old Aeolian Creed and the new Rokari Creed IMO.
