OK, I get what you mean, and I agree: an active RPG is certainly going to be helpful when the new game is launched.

I'd prefer to see LARPing as a "complementary" activity to RPGing. Many participants in our Gloranthan LARPs have known little or nothing about Glorantha, and gone away (hopefully) with an appreciation of what makes the world such an attractive game setting.
