Some confusion here?
I said:
>And remember, you can still break a geas. Unknowingly is the easy method. Simon Hibbs said:
> I don't buy it. Ignorance is no defence before the law - especialy divine law.
Yes, exactly. Which is why ignorance is the easiest way of breaking a geas. "You mean that nice stew had DOG in it?? Oh no, I'm going to die, if only I'd inspected the list of ingredients..."

And then:
> I think Cuchulan was simply forced into a situation where he had to eat
> the dog meat or break the rules of hospitality. I don't think it was a
> specific geas, just good manners.

Both, I believe. He was actually geased to do what would "just" be good manners for most. Like a Humakti being geased not to lie: none of them make a habit of it, but for most getting it wrong is just frowned upon, not lethal.

Alex on my comments on the High Council seat. I said:
> No, she must have been at least as Thunderous as a full Thunderous
> Priest.

then
> And no way does Vinga give that.

But Alex thinks:
> That's kinda begging the question.

Really? You think there's ANY deity around who gives thunder powers equal to those of Orlanth Thunderous? I'm sure Vinga has some Thunderous powers, but not as good as her dad.

> Is no one buying my ploy of Vingans having a Thunder Brothers (Thunder
Sisters?) type subcult?
I'm considering it, but I'd like to know more about the Orlanth version of the Thunder Brothers first.
