Simon Hibbs mentions that Thanatar opposes Lhankor Mhy. IMO the Thanatar cult
is a twisted and corrupt Orlanth religion all on it's own. A big enough
Thanatari Temple will have scholars interested in witing stuff down (Lhankor
Mhy), a bunch of cultists who always challenge Storm Bull worshippers (a
reverse version of Uroxi attatcking Chaos), a bunch of people who won't attack
undead (reverse Humakti). Both Orlanth and Thanatar cults are 'combined' ones:
Doom Lords/Wind Lords from the more primitive/physical half, Storm Voices/Doom
Priests from the more ( storm Voice of Atyar) "civilised" half. The skill
requirements are quite close too: wind lord: Oratory, Stormspeech, Hide,
attack, parry, sneak, sword attack. Doom Lord: Oratory, Darktongue, Hide,
attack, parry, sneak, sword attack, and a few others. Headhunting was/is a
common Orlanthi habit at one stage.
