Men don't spend all their time raiding and hunting. I reckon that both sexes can work leather, although men probably make armour for war. After all, making curboilli isn't all that difficult for a leather-based society.

When tribes go to war they often have armour. Impala riders usually do not because they are small and weedy. However, High Llama riders certainly do and Bison/Rhino Riders wear cuirboilli which has to be seen to be believed. This is why Impala Riders are crushed by Bison/Rhino Riders - their little arrows bounce off. See Nomad Gods for more information.
Benedict Adamson says:

Certainly they do. Maybe not in large numbers, but they are a leather-based society and know how to cure and strengthen leather. Maybe it is not cuirboilli in the medieval sense, but they certainly know how to boil it up in urine and make it stronger (I think that't how they do it, anyway, it saves them buying salt).

Shamans do not routinely make armour any more than they routinely make weapons. However, some shamans may have a side-line in crafting if they haven't any sprits to exorcsise or people to heal or Chaos to scare or enemies to curse this week.

It all depends on which model you use.
If there are only a certain number of souls in existence then whenever a person is killed this is bad news.
If the souls are reincarnated then Bat Kills are bad news as the limited number of souls grows smaller.
If the number of souls is not limited then this does not cause a problem as more souls can be created.
Personally, I think the number of souls available depends on the culture.
Trolls have reincarnation and also can create souls from the stuff of Darkness so they are effectively unlimited.
Dragonewts have a limited number of souls and when a soul is destroyed the Dragonewt is destroyed. However, if an immature True Dragon mated and layed new eggs then it would think more souls into existence.
Animal Souls are generally limited in Number because the Mothers created the first beasts in the God Time. This is why Peaceful Cut is important to Hunters/Waha Cultists as it allows the Souls to be re-used.
Humans may or may not have a limited number of souls. i would say it depends on the culture again.
Jane Williams says about Thunderous ladies:

There is also a Thunderous Comb which (from memory) can only be used by female Priests of Orlanth Thunderous and either strengthens a storm or summons up a humdinger. Therefore, females can join Orlanth Thunderous. Maybe this only applies to Wind Children, but I doubt it.
