No question for me: "Karx the Killer" - possibly one of the most consistenly doomed PC's I've ever DM'd.

Karx was a rather arrogant and egotistical Dark Troll - he was huge even for his species, and got rather lucky early in his career and had amassed a totally undeserved reputation for ferocity. The first incident was when he was hired to protect a Chalana Arroy caravan through some hills - he hired merc's to help who promptly took off with the caravan's money chest. Karx was too big for any of the horses in the group to carry for any time, so was quickly outdistanced, leaving him alone to guard the caravan. Well, the caravan was winding through some rocky hills when they came upon a hefty Cliff Toad, basking in the roadway, bothering nobody.
Well, badass Karx didn't listen to the CA's who just wanted to shoo it away, and didn't want to use a wimpy crossbow or anything to kill it - he hauls out the troll maul, and is promptly swallowed by the toad. Hee hee hee. The pack of CA's - about 15 wimpy old men and old women - are all pounding on the toad with sticks trying to get it to cough up Karx (anyway, with this huge troll plugging it's gullet, it had somewhat overreached itself; this fact slowly dawned on the toad, who finally coughed him out and hopped away ... never noticed the CA's). Nice imagery.

Karx finally joined the choir eternal at Duck Pond - with the famous last words "How tough can a Duck zombie be?" 12 seconds later, they couldn't reattach his head quickly enough to save him. Hee hee hee. - -Steve Lieb
