<< Actually, I think it would be pretty damn easy to do, due to one useful feature of Hero Wars - 10 warriors with combat 8/12 are effectively the same as one unit at 8/120 (this is because an attack in Hero Wars can cause bad consequences to the attacker as well, so number of attacks is not a crucial factor as in RQ (or just about any other RPG, for that matter)). >>
I will be trying this out very soon as I have recently put my players in charge of big army units. I am planning to use this to try out the "SP" mechanic which seems custom built for exciting and quick combat resolutiona at big scales. (high SP bet - the desperate charge of the Bull Guard risked everything for a minutes desparate fighting but the Brass Cataphtracts broke formation and the blood of the traitors of Kitor soaked the battlefield. Low SP bet - the Bull guard maintained their position and held formation, both sides hurling abuse and ineffective missles at each other.)
