<< Does anyone have any ideas about the amount of available light during nightime in Glorantha?

Clearly in the RW the 'moon' has a considerable effect on night vision. Does anything in the Gloranthan sky do so?>>

     Yes - the Moon.

<<An article in Drastic Prax discusses the major stars and the Red Moon (both in and outside the glowline) but doesn't mention the implications on the ground.>>

I think the light from the Red Moon is similar in intensity to that from the RW moon. Lightfore and Shargash may well be brighter than Venus, and in the latter case may even be bright enough to have some limited effect on night vision, but on the whole the difference isn't that great. OTOH, the Moon never sets, so moonlight has an effect for more of the time.

Of course, if your campaign is set prior to the Third Age, its always difficult to see at night because there isn't any moon at all....

Forward the glorious Red Army!
