Keith Nellist:

<<The point I was trying to make was that Yelmalio is a portion of the Sun worshipped in Storm areas and offers a B-list range of powers and I would expect Doburdun to be a portion of the Storm and to offer a B-list range of Storm powers. Both could be mystic ways to worship the respective elements in a way that is necessary for the Compromise. Hence the confusion of the Godswall scholars/interpreters.>>

Actually, I think the confusion was caused by Plentonius not being able to accept that there wasn't a clear image of Antirius on the Wall. He got sufficiently worried by this that when he looked at the image which even a 10-year old child could have told you was a bloke holding a lightning-bolt he decided it was really somebody standing by a stairway to heaven. His reasoning (so far as he had any) presumably being that its the biggest image on Row I that could conceivably be Antirius - Murharzarm having to be at I-1 and the other three candidates having -ahem- attributes that were obviously inappropriate in one way or another.

OTOH, your idea that Doburdun would be a weakened god in the way that Yelmalio is makes sense, and is a lot of fun too!

Forward the glorious Red Army!
