Roland Volz wonders what to do with his group:

To what degree are they "rogues"? Are they the standard "wanderlusting freebooters", out and out outlaws, or do they have some connection to Normal Society? (The last three one might have Issues with, on this score...)

Where are they planning on going, though? Sartar? (yay!) Prax? (ick) ;-)

Don't bother with Minor Encounters, then. If you want to underline this point, you might introduce one or two "You're set up some by some bandits. You kill 'em all." type "encounters".

Inspired by the small schnifter I've had of HW, I'd suggest trying to drag them in to _clan_ politics. They sound like they should be the "leading problem-solvers" in their clan (or clans) -- HW starting characters, in others words. ;-) Clan politics seems to constitute trying to stop your clan fighting amonst itself long enough to maintain one's fights with one's neighbours at the Correct levels. Basically, an on-going soap-opera with your cosy little family of 1000...

If that's not an option, tribal politics will do just as well, and as a last resort, city politics.

The tricky part to rationalise is going to be how the Scary Uz, Weirdo 'newt and Nasty Meldek will fit it...

Slainte,
Alex.
