Praxian Elements and Tarot

I've recently bought _Everway_ and I was impressed by the different slant it takes on the mechanics. Everway is based on astrology and the tarot: characters are described in terms of their air
(intellect), fire (vogour), water (perceptiveness), and earth
(resilience) scores. Resolution is performed by interpreting cards
very similar to the major arcana in tarot (death, the fool, etc).

I'd like to use this approach in my Gloranthan games, but it doesn't fit very well culturally. Astrology/tarot is great if you're playing in a western, new-agey setting, but not so good for other cultures.

So what would Praxians percieve as the fundamental building blocks of the universe? They have this very deep separation between Life and Death, but there need to be more than two elements. My own thought is for four: Bull, Cow, Storm, and Spirit (which happens to follow the gods presented in CoP). I don't think Chaos should feature as an element, as the world was perfectly formed before the Darkness.

And what would Praxians use instead of tarot cards for divination?

Neil.
