I'd guess that they'd maneuver under the target vessel, clamp to the hull, and drill a dwarf hole in the bottom to facilitate dwarven boarding in their usual attack manner (from below). If they are forced to retreat, they just close their hatch, declamp and run, leaving the target vessel with a slight hull integrity problem (glub glub)
