Dwarven underwater communication

It is possible that underwater sound waves caused by the above might interfere with communication between whales/dolphins.

In the RW it has been suggested that underwater noise from propellors, sonar etc is having this effect. (Possibly even causing the mysterious mass beachings which happen sometimes)

This could lead to interesting encounters for our dwarven submariners?
