I asked Greg this question myself. His response was "I'm not going to miss out on any chances for a party! If people are willing to invite me to Convulsion, or to Germany or France, I'm happy to hold as many annual parties as I can in a year".
None in Portugal, I fear, Sergio (unless you know different), but it would seem he means 'annual per national convention that pays for me to visit it' not 'annual across the whole world'. Indeed, if Greg is a guest at Tentacles, then the world's first ever GTA party will presumably be held in Germany not the USA...
