The original stock deal in terms of just product benefits would have
gotten you 3 books over three years for $100. The new association
gets you a book, and t-shirt, and a 10% discount, which over three
years should be a considerably better deal, and it keeps going just
like the stock would have.
10% discount is fairly useless to us poor Eurpeans as I'm fairly sure I can buy stuff cheaper off my local game shop - and I'd like them to stay in business: Aldershot has enough vacant shops without one more joining the queue.
Anyway, let's talk simple economics here... 10% discount would mean I'd have to blow about $700 on Issaries stuff through Wizard's attic. At a rough, back of a fag packet calculation that's about the amount I've spent on RQ stuff since I started playing in 1981.
Oh, hang on, I forgot the t-shirt. However, since I've grown out of (pardon the pun) the habit of buying tour t-shirts for every bands I go and see so do I really need a GTA one?
So, as you may gather, 3 books over three years seems a far better deal to the (obviously insane / old fart) likes of me.
Anyway, rantings of tight old gits don't belong on this here list, so I shall desist once more.
