There has been a great concern over how eager contributors in the UK can sign up for the GTA without paying huge transfer/exchange costs or jumping through a series or banking/financial hoops.
David Hall, Greg Stafford, and myself are putting the finishing touches on how the GTA will be able to have people sign-up in the UK and pay in UKP (pound sterling). An official announcement will be forthcoming soon.
In essence, this should let most europeans have a quick and inexpensive way of signing up, without having to worry about exchanging money. We are working out a way to give excellent exchange rates with no fees, hidden charges, waiting periods, etc.
