I've got initiations into Waha and Eiritha coming up in my game so I'm looking for ideas about what goes on.
I like the idea of it being a low-powered heroquest with the result that characters come out with their starting spirit magic and of course initiate status.
The problem is a lack of detailed heroquests/myths. I have the Waha's quest from drastic prax. I could just run through that but I'd like to save it until the characters are more experienced.
Current idea is:-
Characters are shown the great darkness, animals and men
dying, nasty things roaming around.
Waha shows up and teaches them how to survive. Characters
get a chance to display something that Waha taught them,
butchery, using weapons to protect the herd/kill enemies,
defeating a fire spirit etc.
Characters are shown some historic/mythic event which
explains why their tribe is the best.
The above is a start but as I'm using Pendragon traits I'd prefer a staged process testing some of Waha's virtues rather than just character skills.
As for Eiritha initiation, I get lost. Hang around in the dark until a Waha bloke comes and rescues you?
I know Prax is getting old hat and will be ignored by Hero wars but I still like the place.
