Brithini fliers

I doubt any brithini flies. I mean, did they fly in the Ice Age? No. And we survived. No need to pollute us with the tricks of Worlath and company.

The Horals are infantry, and have always been infantry. And the fact that they will not touch a horse on pain of death (by old age) is considered a weakness makes me think they are not the Gloranthan equivalent of Mobile Infantry with Marauder armour.

You should think more on the line of:

Bows? Elves use bows. We have no need.
        Crossbows? That is for dwarves.

However I have found a precedent in the Writings where Horal threw
his hand weapon to kill the Great Furry Ice Demon. So not only can you use all seventy three approved hand weapons, but you can throw them too.

Not to mention you can stalemate them by taking Dronal hostages (or Talars and Zzaburs). They are great for defense and punitive missions, but too inflexible for actual warfare. "We cannot build a camp. Those sneaky human animals have killed the Dronal diggers."

And I just have a feeling that iron is a recent invention, so they will not touch the stuff.

        All just IMHO.

Jose
