The end justified the means, an entirely plausible timeline and decription of events.
Thank you Gary. The Holy Country really did have a bad time, apart from a Golden Age of Sail (fifteen years from 1587 to 1602) they did better when the Oceans were closed. Perhaps those Ramalians are right.
