I would expect that the Cradle described in the Pavis box was built at Gonn Orta's Castle by Gonn Orta aided by the 1 female and 2 male giants who also live there. Gonn Orta certainly qualifies as a giant giant. Tall enough to put the athlete figures on Sydney Tower by hand.

Gonn Orta's Castle is described in the Griffin Mountain book (like that's a big help). It's a mountain pass blocked at each end with cyclopean dry-stone walls. The Prax end is lower, and big enough to muster a Praxian herd. There's a step up to the Elder Wilds end, where there are sleeping places for the smaller giants, huge silos where they keep their treasures, an inn run by a be-thumbed morokanth, and a seat carved out of the mountainside for Gonn Orta, who is too big to lie down inside the castle. All the giants are Issaries initiates or priests.

The baby in the cradle is Gonn Orta's daughter. She goes to the underworld to be educated. Rather like the squattocracy sending their kids to boarding school in Sydney or Melbourne. ;-)
