In a message dated 11/3/99 11:18:41PM, you write:

<< Given the existence of long-nose, plains elk and nose horns herds in The Wastes, has a physical description of them ever been published? I looked in my 'Bumper book of prehistoric mammals' and my suggested claw-footer is a colicothereium. >>

If so, the logical choice for a nose-horn would be Synthetoceras or Kyptoceras - essentially antelopes with extra horns on their noses. Sandy has, incidentally, stated that chalicotheres are alive and well in Pamaltela.

Forward the glorious Red Army!
