Run with it! It sounds like a GREAT idea for a convention game.
At the last AmberCon North (a Con devoted to the Amber RPG), a guy ran the old Victory Games boardgame 'JUNTA' with some modifications to make the activities and actions more Amber-esque. It was an absolute hoot!
With a little though and some nice props, your Pavis Monopoly would be a treat at a Con!
