I'd venture that this might be the one point elves and dwarves agree on: Humanity's prime purpose is interference.

They want to strip, clear, and farm every horizontal surface. Their tampering has clearly screwed up the world machine on more than one occasion.
You might even say the Trolls don't like them because they won't properly sit still and be eaten.
And what dragonewt hasn't had a rebirth cycle interrupted or messed with by some pack of human adventurers for "fun"?
