For those who think that Chaos came from the Beyond...

>There are many, I think, that stage Chaos as an extra-dimensional or outer
>space thing.

Chaos is, among other things, the ultimate Outside. Extra-dimensions and outer space are some of the ways in which we conceptualise it - but that doesn't mean they are true.

> If this were right (and IMG it isn't), would there be a Realm of
>Chaos or
>something alike? What would it be like?

Like the world was before it was the world. Also, something like the magical equivalent of radioactive plasma. Also, the ultimate source of everything, including energy, creativity, life.

>Something like Lovercraft's
>Dreamlands? Could it be explored?

Not at all like Lovecrafts Dreamlands, that are formed. The Dreamlands have more in common with parts of the near hero planes, IMO.

>Is only Chaos that can enter Glorantha, or would there be other things that
>could?

Chaos can create anything, its the ultimate source of creation. Almost anything that is so created is likely to be imperfectly created, and thus 'tainted with chaos', except in very special circumstances. I tend to think its more like only the most powerful magics and magicians can create something with enough force and precision that the underlying chaotic nature is entirely removed.

>If Chaos can enter the world, can something escape?

Sure. Normally we call this oblivion. Groups such as the Outer Atomic Explorers may have ways to survive in the Chaos for a longer period, perhaps even long enough to reach something else - who knows what happened to them, though (I prefer to leave it a deliberate mystery, myself).
