I don't know about Slon, but I know that when I made the map of Jrustela in the early 700s <http://www.glorantha.com/greg/jrustela.html>, Greg made sure that it showed James Bond Villain HQ, aka Zadeel. I can't remember if they were using ships at this period (given the Waertagi monopoly), but it's possible.
