Merry Meet, follow Glorantha Digesters, For the past several issues people have been going on about the collection of weregild in Orlanthi society,and the numerous troubles that can associated with it.Now its been several years since I read it,but Njal's Saga; an ancient Icelandic saga, ( Magnusson & Pallsson translation, Penguin isbn 0-14-044103-4) provides an excellent look at just exactly this problem.In addition,the fight scenes are terrificand bloody as hell.If you're unfamiliar with it,by all means go out and pick it up. -Ken Murphy-
