There isn't very much immediately north of Alone, except for the Hollow. Alone is on Snakepipe's Edge. Also, the Tres separate the Amad and Tovteros tribes (in sources both ancient and modern).
Remember in SH how the adventurers go North, descend into the Hollow, then turn
North-East ?
Well, if they'd gone North-West instead, they'd v. quickly have entered Amad
territory. Inside the Hollow ...

Not according to any map that *I* have.
The Tres suffer badly duriung the beginning of the 17th century, which militates against them having equal political influence. They're simply too busy.
