Hello everyone,

A quick miscellaneous info for those of you (european) interested in the Bronze Age.

I just went to see a very fine --and huge-- exhibition this WE, still held in Paris, Grand Palais: "L'Europe au temps d'Ulysse: Gods and Heroes during the Bronze Era".
http://www.rmn.fr/expo-ulysse/

It's a big and synthetical expo showing the Old World's most exquisive piece of Craftmanship of this period (-2500 to -1000 and more): Weapons, Armors, smithing tools, all kind of treasure and many cultual artifacts, as well as chariots, etc.

The exhibition is divided in 5 parts: the Times of Travel, the Times of Citadels, the Times of the Heroes, the Times of the Gods and the Golden Age
- ---how not to think to Glorantha with titles like that ! And Yes, what an
evocation for Greg's world!

At the same time a good point and a bad one, the exhibition is very generalistic and synthetical. It don't tell or develop much about cultures or precise period: Celts, estruscs, scandinavians are all mixed up, but with the great strength of showing superb items of both these regions. You can see then that there are not much fundamental differences between all of Europe's culture of this age despise the space or the different crafts' technics used. I have, for myself, never seen so much items in Gold. The helmets are also superb in shapes and design. Citations of Homer, also illustrate and link all these parts. Giant maps of cities, like Troye or Minoan palaces make you want to go back to explore Pavis !!!

Aaaahh, Glorantha in the 2000's, could you be more "bronze age" in feel ?
