The only Malkioni known to have slaves are the Vadeli when they conquered part of Pamaltela in the Storm Age and later with mostali allies enslaved other Malkioni.
Hence slavery is abhored by the Malkioni and they see it as pious to purchase slaves from the Vadeli so they can be liberated. However it is permitted to keep the freedman as a bonded labourer (or appropiate task to his caste) until his kin can ransom him or the freedman can pay of his debt.
