According to the Broken Council Guidebook, he came from Fronela and was a friend of the Nidan Decamony at the Dawn. However he soon grew estranged from them and fought a mighty battle with the Nidan Dwarves and liberated hundreds of Jolanti. The havoc wrought by this battle (which occured during the reign of Emperor Sothenik 539- 560 ST) opened the High Llama Pass between Fronela and Ralios and ended dwarf/giant friendship forever. But no human has found out what the battle really was about.
Gonn Orta then retired to the Eastern Rockwood Mountains where he commands a Pass there.

A renegade Carmanian who fought for the Lunar Empire. Perhaps he was a servant of the Lie then, who knows? He was prominent in provoking the conquest of Eol when he was defeated by an Eolian merchant called Erian Soor after she had killed the Sultan of Karasal in self defense. His failure to apprehend her lead to Parg Ilisi being directed to conquer Eol and his horrible ten-year rule there.
Aronius Jaranthir recovered from his wounds and then helped the Kingdom of Bindle drive off the CharUn. He began rebuilding the devastated carmanian lands and helped persuade the Carmanians that the Lunar Way was not evil. However Carmania was refused Satrapal Status.
He then reappeared in the wars against Sheng Seleris and helped the Red Emperor defeat Sheng at the Battle of Kitor. The Carmanians were made Citizen Foreigners and Aronius was made one of the Egi, the Lunar Demigods that supervise the Red Emperor.
